My column this week wasn't meant to stir the pot. It was meant to start a dialogue about Nevada's offense and whether it would benefit from a spread attack.

Do you think Nevada would benefit from four or five receiver sets with Kaep in the shotgun formation? Nevada fans can't deny it worked for Missouri Saturday.

    What do you think?

There is actually a discussion taking place in the forums?!?!?

The real question is... What are we going to do about our defense? : (

The defense allowed 69 points Saturday. That is cause for alarm. But the defense has played two of the best offenses in college football the past two weeks. They also looked good against Texas Tech. The defense is young, but should be OK headed into WAC play.

It's the offense that is a step away from being one of the best in the country. On Saturday, not only did Missouri showcase how tough a spread attack could be, but UNLV did too. The Rebels used a very athletic quarterback in the spread attack and it looked scary.

Nevada needs to use this innovative scheme, if not all the time at least a few more plays per game.
